Art Statement
My work is a self-taught language and art form that merges organic and man-made elements, exploring the intricate interplay and symbiosis between these diverse constructs. It reflects the complexity of how different parts come together, echoing the connection between the natural and the manufactured. My art combines themes of inventive science, fantasy, futurism, and the surreal subconscious. The psychological ambiguity in my unusual shapes invites open-ended interpretation, encouraging the viewer’s imagination to play and explore multiple possibilities.
Drawing from my fascination with science, my work recalls the awe I experienced as a teenager, whether observing strange, living organisms through a microscope or seeing skyscrapers for the first time. There is a “Jetsonian” futuristic element embedded in my art, as I perceive it as a metaphor for pioneering new and unconventional explorations and innovations in humanity’s future as we move toward an exciting new age.
